New Delhi, January 23, 2013: The Indian Railways have launched a new initiative to address the complaint against poor quality food or over charging of such items on running trains.
The Ministry of Railways has set up a central monitoring cell with the toll free number 1800-111-321 for the convenience of railway users to register their complaints regarding Railways’ catering services like food quality or over charging, both at railway stations and in running trains.
Announcing this, here today, Minister of Railways Pawan Kumar Bansal said this facility is available all seven days from 7 AM to 10 PM, the period during when generally food is served to the passengers.
The Minister has assured all possible actions on real time basis as soon as the complaint is registered.
This facility has already been started functioning, he said.
