Raipur, November 18, 2024: Chhattisgarh government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today made Simga of Baloda Bazar district as a Municipality.
Simga was made a municipality and a notification in that regard had been published, official sources said today.
Simga was earlier Nagar Panchayat, which was now upgraded to Nagar Palika, the officials said.
The Urban Administration and Development Department has issued the notification in that regard after the approval from the Chief Minister.
As per the gazette notification the areas of the Simga Nagar Panchayat will be converted into the Simga Municipal Council, they added.
