Raipur, December 23, 2008: Subodh Singh has taken over charges as the Raipur District Collector from Vikas Sil.
Singh began his second innings as the Raipur District Magistrate yesterday and has outlined his priority to ease the traffic on Raipur city road and also to carry out developmental works in rural sector.
A Master in Mechanical Engineering, Singh is a 1997 batch IAS office and there were several claimants for the Raipur but the Chief Minister preferred him looking into his style of functioning and low profile attitude.
Before returning back to his last place of posting Singh was Collector of Bilaspur since April 28, 2007 on transferred from Raipur.
When Sonmani Borah is the new Collector of Bilaspur, Vikas Sil has been named as the Health Secretary in the just held reshuffle.
