Raipur, December 23, 2008: New Home Minister of Chhattisgarh Nanki Ram Kanwar today asked the state police to improve its credibility and become more people oriented.
Chhattisgarh Police should improve its credibility among the people and also become more people oriented, after taking over charges as the Home Minister today, Kanwar told the top police officials.
In a review meeting of the Police Department with Principal Secretary Home N K Aswal, Kanwar asked the Director General of Police Vishwa Ranjan to improve the intelligence set up in the state.
However, police leadership as usual asked for more budgetary allocation to the Department.
