Raipur, July 18, 2014: Balram Jee Das Tandon will take oath as Governor of Chhattisgarh on July 25, his family sources said today.
Tandon will be in Delhi on July 23 to meet the top BJP leadership.
He will be arriving at Raipur on July 24 and the next day Tandon will take oath as Governor, his family sources said.
The Centre has appointed for the first time after its creation, a full time politician as the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
Tandon is one of the founder members of Jan Sangh and had been the former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab.
So far two IPS, one IAS and one Army officer had been appointed as the Governor of Chhattisgarh.
