Raipur, December 11, 2024: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai led Cabinet today decided to give relaxation to the tribal youths of the state for recruitment in police services.
Taking an important decision for the recruitment of youth of Scheduled Tribe (ST) category of the state in Chhattisgarh Police, the Cabinet today decided to provide relaxation for one time in the prescribed criteria of height and chest for the candidates, official sources said.
Under which, the minimum height prescribed for the direct recruitment process of Subedar, Sub-Inspector cadre, Platoon Commander in Chhattisgarh Police in the year 2024 is 163 cm, they said.
Similarly under the relaxation, chest should be 78 cm without inflating and 83 cm on inflating.
It has been decided to give relaxation only for one time to male candidates of Scheduled Tribe category only, the sources clarified.
The draft of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Members’ Salary, Allowance and Pension (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was also approved by the cabinet, which will be tabled in the Winter Session next week.
The Second Supplementary Estimate for the year 2024-2025 and the draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill, 2024 was approved by the Council of Ministers, which will also be moved in the Winter Session.
