Raipur, June 25, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today said situation in Bastar has changed as the Congress government has been working towards empowerment of the local people of Bastar region.
“We have won the confidence of the people of Maoist-hit Bastar region,” Baghel said addressing Emerging Bastar event.
Looking into the condition of the people and the region, after coming to power the Congress government had redrafted the strategy to empower the people, he said.
Because of policies adopted by the state government pace of development in the interior areas of Bastar region have also speeded up, the Chief Minister said.
The state government had also taken steps to strengthen security of the people, he said.
It was a known fact that the people of the state, and especially of Bastar region were under the influence of Maoist activities. But the state government has taken several steps to restore peace and bring prosperity, Baghel said.
Starting from blocks to the district levels health services had been improved in the last four years, he said.
