Raipur, June 27, 2023: World Bank has sanctioned Rs 2460 crore to the Chhattisgarh government for the improvement of school education in the state.
“For promoting quality education among the school students in the state the World Bank has sanctioned Rs 2460 crore to Chhattisgarh,” official sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here today.
The financial aids would help in development and management of 600 model schools of the state, they said.
The World Bank aids would help in improving basic infrastructure with quality education, especially in science and commerce in the Senior Secondary level, the sources said.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wanted to have a model of better education infrastructure in the state and the Rs 2460 crore financial aid would benefit about 40 lakh students from poor and weaker sections, they added.
With this money more science and mathematics teachers would be appointed. Also the basic infrastructure of laboratories would also be developed along with hostel buildings, the officials said.
