Raipur, August 27, 2009: Thirteen jawans from Kawardha and Rajnandgaon districts have been dismissed from their services for not resuming duty in a hyper naxal infested police station of the state.
Two jawans from Kawardha district and eleven jawans from Rajnandgaon district have been dismissed from the service for not joining their duty at Madanwada in Rajnandgaon district, IG Rajinder Kumar Vij told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Madanwada was the same place, where on July 12 last, Rajnandgaon SP V K Choubey and two dozen policemen were ambushed and killed by naxalites.
All the 13 are trained policemen to deal with naxal menace and it was a gross indiscipline on their part to run away from the call of the duty, Vij said adding the Police Headquarters and the state Government had decided not to tolerate such things.
