Raipur, August 09, 2010: In search of bread and butter a total of 177 people had gone to Leh of Jammu and Kashmir from Janjgir-Champa district, the local administration said.
After worst disaster hit Leh due to a cloud burst, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has also asked his officials to send a team to that place to ascertain the condition of the people of Chhattisgarh, officials said.
As per the instruction, a team comprising of a Tehsildar, a Labour officer, one Sub Inspector, one head constables and one villager are being sent to Leh, officials said.
As per the district administration 117 people from Banari, 12 from Bodsara, 4 from Loharasi and from the village Mahant 44 people had gone to Leh for earning an extra pie.
The initial reports had indicated that 12 persons are feared dead, where as 33 are injured and 25 are missing, the district officials said.
