     Raipur, October 30, 2022: Chhattisgarh will soon have a national level research centre for Sickle cell diseases, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said here today.

     “Soon we will have a national level research centre on Sickle Cell disease in the state”, the Chief Minister told a Health Department function in the presence of Health Minister T S Singhdeo.

     Awareness is the most essential thing in fighting against the sickle cell disease, the Chief Minister said.

     Baghel also inaugurated 28 sickle cell management centres in as many districts.

     Those Centres would be working for investigation, treatment, consultation and medicine centres for sickle cell.

     With this, now consultation and treatment facilities are available in 24 district hospitals, 9 medical colleges and also in the Raipur based Sickle Cell research Centre.
