Bilaspur, January 16, 2014: In a sensational case, 22 spotted deers were today found dead in Chhattisgarh government owned Kanan Pandari Zoo of Bilaspur.
Zoo staff found 22 spotted deers dead in the zoo premises early morning today.

Taking the matter seriously 15 male and 18 female deers are being medically examined, Ram Prakash said adding they are said to be in good condition.
″The entire incident is surprising and unexpected and only after a thorough probe I could be able to say anything,″ Ram Prakash said adding a probe order has already been issued.
The government has taken the matter seriously and formed a committee to probe into the large scale death of deers.
DFO H K Pandey, Achanakmar Project Director C L Agrawal and Veterinary doctor Dr P K Chandan are members of the committee, which would probe the killing of the deers, Ram Prakash said.
The forest Department has also ordered for post mortem of the killed deers to ascertain the cause of death.
