     Raipur, March 30, 2011: Led by Leader of Opposition Ravindra Choubey a total of 29 Congress MLAs were suspended today from the Chhattisgarh Assembly after they created an uproarious scene over the arson in Tadmetla and two near by villages allegedly by Police on March 13.

     The Congress members today refused to allow the house to transact any business and demanded taking up their adjournment motion over the arson incident  in Chintalnar area of Dantewada district and also their arrest yesterday in that area, when they were proceeding towards the affected villages.

     The Congress members raised the Tadmetla incident when Speaker asked Bholaram Sahu to raise his issues during the Question hour.

     The opposition members were not in a mood to listen to the repeated request of the Speaker to take up the issue after the Question hour and raised slogans stalling the house proceedings, because of which the Speaker adjourned the house from 11.19 AM to 11.30 AM and again at 11.45 AM to 12.05 PM.

     When the House took up the matter for discussion on its acceptance, several Congress members highlighted the arson, in Tadmetla, Timmapuram and Morepalli villages allegedly by the police forces on March 13 also the arrest of Congress MLAs yesterday when they wanted to proceed towards those villages.

     Saying that the state government had failed in all respect in Dantewada, Congress members demanded imposition of President rule in the state also.

     Later on the Congress members went inside the well of the house and raised slogans because of which 29 Congress MLAs were suspended by the Speaker as per the house rule.

     Although the Speaker ended the suspension of the Congress MLAs, but they refused to participate in the house proceedings and remained away from the house and in their absence the House took up the day’s agenda.
