Raipur, July 15, 2010: For a better fight against the terrorist and Maoists, three Counter Insurgency Schools were started in Chhattisgarh today.
The three Counter Insurgency and Anti-Terrorist (CIAT) Schools were becoming functional at naxal hit Rajnandgaon, Jagdalpur (Bastar) and at Mana (Raipur), officials said.
The schools would be functioning at State Police Academy Chandarkhooree of Raipur District, Police Training School premises at Rajnandgaon and at the premise of the Fifth Battalion of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force at Jagdalpur.
When Raipur CIAT School was inaugurated by the IG Training Arun Dev Gautam, Rajnandgaon School was inaugurated by Durg IG Rajinder Kumar Vij and Bastar School was done in the hand of the Director of the Kanker Jungle War Fare College, Brig B K Ponwar, officials said.
Trainers from Indian Army, Para Military Forces and the State Police would train the police here in the CIAT schools about the newer technique of guerrilla warfare and other rules of the battle field, officials said.
