     New Delhi, July 15, 2010: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today met the President Pratibha Patil and discussed about the situation in the naxal affected areas of the state.

     It was a courtesy call by the Chief Minister, during which Singh briefed the President about the steps being taken by the state government for the development of the naxal affected areas, officials said here.

     The Chief Minister also briefed her about the integrated action plan of the State Government for the naxal hit areas of the state.

     The government had formed a Bastar Development Group for the overall development of the Bastar division and its adjoining tribal dominated areas, Singh said.

     Secretary to the Chief Minister Aman Singh, and Resident Commissioner Richa Sharma had also accompanied the Chief Minister, they added.
