Raipur, August 20, 2010: After a long gap, Chhattisgarh Government today ordered for close down of three polluting industries in the Siltara industrial area of Raipur District.
Housing and Environment Minister Rajesh Munat and local MLA Devji Bhai Patel during a visit of the area found three of the industries in Siltara area involved in air pollution, officials said.
Taking that seriously, the Environment Minister asked his officials to immediately close down the three polluting industries namely, Devi Iron and Power Private Limited. Indian Steel and Power Pvt Ltd, Charouda, and Agrawal Sponge Pvt Ltd.
The Minister also expressed his strong displeasure after he found that several industries units were having less than claimed plantation in their premises, officials said.
