     Raipur, July 23, 2009: Leader of Opposition Ravindra Choubey and 33 other Congress MLAs were suspended today from the state assembly and in their absent the House also took up an adjournment motion on the Madanwada incident, in which SP V K Choubey was killed by Naxalites with 25 other policemen.

     Congress for the third day today demanding the resignation of Dr Raman Singh from the post of Chief Minister over the issue disrupted the proceedings of the house.

     When the Opposition members refused to listen to the appeal of Speaker Dharam Lal Kaushik to cooperate with him, he adjourned the house twice during the Question Hour.

    After that when the house reassembled 34 Congress members entered the well of the house and got suspended automatically after which they left the house.

     When the Congress members were absent, the Speaker took up the adjournment motion, which was earlier moved by 27 of its members and after a discussion on its acceptability, in the absent of the members who had actually moved that, and the reply from the Government on the July 12 Madanwada incident of Rajnandgaon district, it was rejected.

    In the absent of Congress, the House also discussed and passed the First Supplementary Budget and its Appropriation bill of Rs 1344 crore for this fiscal.
