7 Maoists killed in Dantewada

     Dantewada, December 11, 2009: At least seven naxalites were today killed by the security forces in a fierce gun battle in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.

     “After a long and fierce gun battle seven Maoists were killed today in Kakeri-Nahari forest between Aranpur and Jagargunda,” District Superintendent of Police of hyper sensitive Dantewada district Ambrish Mishra told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

     The security forces have also recovered one 303 rifle, 2 muzzle loading guns, 1 grenade, explosives, bows and arrows, banners and several other materials from the encounter site, Mishra said.

     “Forces are in the woods searching for more rebels,” said the District Police Chief.
