Dantewada, November 10, 2009: In a major achievement, security forces today shot dead at least seven Maoists in Dantewada district.
After a fierce gun battle, seven of the Maoists were killed today and a huge amount of explosives and weapons were recovered, Dantewada District Superintendent of Police Ambrish Mishra told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
In that incident one constable Manmohan Sonwani was also injured, he said.
The incident took place between Tetemargu and Palodi under Kistaram police station.
After the gun battle weapons, including two .303 rifles, landmines, detonators and other explosive materials have been recovered, he said.
