Raipur, December 9, 2009: A middle aged maid from Chhattisgarh has died in Delhi after she fell from the sixth floor of an apartment where she was working in, reports reaching here said today.
The victim has reportedly been identified as Mariam Tirkey, age 40, hailing from Chhattisgarh state and the incident took place yesterday at Sukh Sagar Apartment in Dwarka Sector 9 in South West Delhi, media reports said.
Tirkey was working as a maid of Sudha, a manager with Airports Authority of India, for the past four years. Megharaj, husband of Sudha, is an engineer working in Dubai, it said.
She died on the spot after falling from the six floor when she was reportedly trying to collect clothes, the report said.
