Raipur, April 02, 2011: Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and Home Minister Nanki Ram Kanwar today visited the arson hit Tadmetla village and promised to provide all assistance to the people, who were affected by large scale man made arson.
Amid elaborate security arrangement, Governor, CM and the Home Minister flew to the Tadmetla village and discussed with the villagers about the March 13 arson and rehabilitation works being carried out there.
Media reports and opposition parties have alleged that a joint police party of CRPF and Koya Commandos had gone on a three day operation of Chintalnar area on March 13, last and during that period they had killed one innocent person, sexually abused some women and burnt about 300 houses in Tadmetla, Timmapuram and Morepalli villages for no reasons.
Governor Dutt directed the civil and police administration to make regular visit of the area and interact with the locals to remove their difficulties.
The Chief Minister said comprehensive development of extremely backward villages like Tadmetla is the top priority of the state government.
This was the first visit by any top leaders after the March 13 arson.
