Raipur, December 07, 2011: Chhattisgarh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, today decided to give 32 per cent reservation to the Scheduled Tribe, 12 per cent to Scheduled Caste and 14 per cent to Other Backward Castes.
As per the Census-2011 the state has a tribal population of 31.76 and a total of 11.61 per cent are belonged to the Scheduled Caste, official sources said.
Accordingly the state Cabinet today decided to give reservation of 32 per cent to the ST, 12 per cent to the SC and 14 per cent to the OBCs, the sources said.
A bill to that effect would be introduced in the Winter session of the state assembly, they said.
