Naya Raipur, November 06, 2012: President of India Pranab Mukherjee today praised the architectural designing of the new Secretariat building, located in the Capital Complex area of Naya Raipur.
The new Secretariat was inaugurated this evening by the President in the presence of Governor Shekhar Dutt, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and a host of political personalities and bureaucrats.
The President arrived here this evening and straight drove to the new Secretariat building.
After inauguration, Mukherjee took a round of the new building and praised the architectural designing of the building, official sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The President also praised the Chhattisgarhi art and culture that have been depicted in the new Secretariat.
Mukherjee also visited the chamber of the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, located in the fifth floor, and had a group photo with dignitaries.
At the inaugural function, Governor Dutt, Chief Minister Singh, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Charan Das Mahant, Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar, Chairman of the Naya Raipur Development Authority N Baijendra Kumar, former Chief Secretary P Joy Oommen and other dignitaries were also present.
