Durg, November 11, 2012: Former BJP State President and Swabhiman Manch Chief Tarachand Sahu passes away today at Mumbai.
Sahu passes away at Leelawati Hospital at Mumbai after a brief illness, official sources said.
Sahu had represented Durg Lok Sabha seat in 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2004.
After having differences with state BJP leaders, Sahu formed his Swabhiman Manch about four years back and during the next Assembly and Lok Sabha elections it was expected that the new political outfit would make its presence felt in some of the assembly segments.
Governor Shekhar Dutt, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, PCC President Nand Kumar Patel and Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Ravindra Choubey have expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
