     Rajnandgaon, November 10, 2012: Chhattisgarh Administration today clarified that the non-government organisations, who have received a government assistance of Rs 2 lakh per year are also coming under the Right to Information Act.

     Any NGO, which has received an assistance of Rs 2 lakh from the government or has received 25 per cent of its annual turn over as government financial assistance would come under the Right to Information Act-2005, official sources said here.

     Meanwhile, the State General Administration Department has issued a reminder asking for  proper implementation of the RTI Act among the NGOs.

     The Departments have also been asked to put up names of all such NGOs, who have received such assistance from the state government, the sources said.
