Raipur, November 28, 2012: The benefit of revolution in the information technology sector must reach the common man, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said here today.
Information Technology was most essential for maintaining transparency in the governance, Singh said and called upon the policy makers and planners to draft strategy so that the benefit of the IT sector must reach the common man.
Singh was addressing a function at the CM House here before flagging off a vehicle to promote IT services in the rural sector.
State IT Secretary Aman Kumar Singh, Director General of Police-designate Ramniwas, Director at the IT Ministry, Government of India Gaurav Dwivedi and others were present in that function.
The vehicle would visit 118 villages spread over Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur and Janjgir-Champa in the next two months to popularise various activities being undertaken by the state, including the facilities to get birth, death or domicile certificates.
