     Raipur, October 26, 2022: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today celebrated Govardhan Pooja at the CM House with family and said poor people have immensely been benefitted because of the pro-farmer policy of his Congress government.

     Govardhan Pooja was celebrated at the CM house with traditional fervour. Chief Minister with his wife Mukteswari Baghel had worshipped Gouri-Goura and offered khichdi to cow.

      Traditional Rout Nacha and Sua troupes also performed their traditional folk dances.

      On this occasion, Chief Minister said Diwali is an important festival of Chhattisgarh, because of which the state government had on October 17 last transferred Rs 1900 crore to farmers, landless labourers, Self Help Groups under the Nyay Yojana.

     Since the state government had increased the DA of the government employees this year Diwali was celebrated in large scale by the people, he added.
