Raipur, November 10, 2008: Ruling BJP has expelled 17 of its leaders, including former state General Secretary Virendra Pandey and son of former State BJP President Shiv Pratap Singh, for contesting against the official party candidates in Chhattisgarh assembly election.
Virendra Pandey, Vijay Pratap Singh, son of BJP MP Shiv Pratap Singh, and 15 other leaders have been expelled from the primary membership of BJP for six years, state BJP General Secretary Ram Pratap Singh said here.
All the 17 party leaders have been expelled for contesting against the official party candidates in this month’s assembly election, Singh said.
