Raipur, February 01, 2016: Rain service between Dalli Rajhara and Gudum was inaugurated today.
On the opening of the 17 Km long distance for passenger traffic, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said this was a very important day in the history of Chhattisgarh.
For this Singh has thanks Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu.
Railway line of 95 km between Dalli Rajhara to Raoghat was being constructed in the first phase of the 235 kilometre Dalli Rajhara-Raoghat-Jagdalpur rail project.
Out of this 17 kilometre long rail track was ready about ten months back on May 15, 2015 a diesel engine was successfully tested on that track by running the engine in 20 kmph speed.
Today Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu flagged off a passenger train on that track.
The flag off was done via video conference from Rail Bhawan.
The Dalli Rajhara-Raoghat-Jagdalpur railway line would touch Balod, Bastar, Narayanpur and Kondagaon districts.
