Raipur, September 23, 2016: Main opposition Congress demanded resignation of Dr Raman Singh from the chief ministership claiming the Supreme Court notice today has proved there was wrong doing in the purchase of Agusta helicopter by Chhattisgarh government.
“The entire deal to purchase of Agusta helicopter by Chhattisgarh government is suspicious and commission were seems paid,” Chhattisgarh Congress in a statement said today.
One of the petitioners, Leader of Opposition T S Singhdeo, has said in 2007 Chhattisgarh floated tender to purchase the Agusta helicopter and had received three tenders on that matter.
But interestingly one V Krishnan, was looking after all the three tenders, the Congress party claimed adding this indicated the entire tendering process was fake.
Accusing that the family members of the Chief Minister were allegedly involved in the deal, the Congress demanded a court monitored inquiry into the entire purchase deal.
Congress has also demanded Dr Raman Singh to resign from the Chief Ministership till the inquiry was over.
