Raipur October 14, 2022: Amidst intensified political fights after ED raids on IAS officials and others in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today released a purported video on the multi-crore Indira bank scam and alleged former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was also a beneficiary of the scam.
In the Indira Priyadarshini Bank, the management and the directors were involved in an irregularities of Rs 54 crore in 2007, CM Baghel said, while releasing a purported video of the narco test of Bank Manager Umesh Sinha.
Through the video it was accused that the former CM was paid one crore where three other ministers of the then government were also allegedly given money by the Bank management to suppress the case.
BJP has yet to react to the bombshell by the CM through the social media, but the opposition has been raising the issue of recovery of large amount of cash and gold from senior officials and others in the state during the raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
However, BJP alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to protect the corrupt people.
