Raipur, February 1, 2023: Ruling Congress in Chhattisgarh today demanded a detailed probe of the properties of former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh of BJP.
Demanding a probe into the matter, Congress leaders today handed over a letter addressed to the Chhattisgarh Governor.
In their memorandum to the Governor, Congress claimed Dr Raman Singh was deep into loan after losing the Kawardha Assembly election in 1998.
In 2008 Dr Raman had properties valued Rs 1 crore, which increased to Rs 5 crore in 2013 and Rs 10.72 crore in 2018, Congress claimed.
They also alleged that the son of Dr Raman, Abhishek Singh had declared his properties worth Rs 4.41 crore during 2014 Lok Sabha Poll. But he had not declared he had resorts and other landed properties outside the state, alleged the ruling Congress party.
Looking into the alleged irregularities, the Governor should give permission for a detailed probe into the properties of Dr Raman Singh, the Chhattisgarh PCC stated.
