The construction of these roads is sen as a step that embodies the resolve to elevate rural connectivity in the region to new heights.

A new chapter was added today to Bastar’s journey of development, as large-scale works aimed at strengthening infrastructure were launched under Phase 4 of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, official sources said.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai virtually laid the foundation stones and inaugurated various projects from Jashpur.

During the programme, the foundation stones were laid for a total of 86 significant road projects in the Bastar district, spanning a combined length of 235.45 kilometers and estimated to cost approximately Rs 250 crore.

Expressing his gratitude to the government for these initiatives, he remarked that these improvements in infrastructure would further strengthen local community engagement.

Also addressing the gathering on this occasion were District Panchayat Vice President Baldev Mandavi and Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation Chairman Khemsingh Dewangan.
