New Delhi, March 10, 2023: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi here and demanded early start of census in the country.
The Chief Minister discussed various issues with the Prime Minister Modi today at Delhi and demanded early start of census in the country, official sources said.
Since the last Census was carried out in 2011, the state was facing problems in selecting beneficiaries due to lack of latest Census, he said.
Baghel also discussed with the Modi issues relating to coal royalty and compensation to the state for loss due to GST implementation.
The Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister about the meeting of G-20 at Chhattisgarh and appraised him about the steps so far taken by the state government.
Baghel also sought cooperation and help from the Centre to start the light metro services from Naya Raipur to Durg.
