Jagdalpur, November 24, 2008: Repolling was conducted in 33 places today but due to naxal related violence one constable was killed and three injured in different places in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.
Compared to November 14, the presence of security forces were thin today but sufficient forces were deployed in the polling areas and during the day Maoists and security forces were clashed in seven places and in one blast one policeman was killed.
When a polling party was returning back after voting from Amlidhar booth of Chitrakot segment, in a land mine blast one policeman was killed and another injured, police said.
In another incident when a polling party was returning from Rengagondi of Narayanpur seat after election Maoists ambushed them in which one forest guard was seriously injured in naxal bullet, they said.
Besides that in about seven places in Chitrakot, Konta and Dantewada constituencies naxalites and security forces had exchanged fire.
