Raipur, December 25, 2008: In a New Year gift Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has increased the salary of the pilot of Chhattisgarh to Rs 3.25 lakh per month.
Due to the New Year gift, the Aviation Department, led by Chief Pilot Sq Leader Dibya Shankar Mishra, honoured the Chief Minister in a function at the Helipad office here today attended by many civil, police and political personalities.
The salary of all the aviation staff have been increased to benefit them as per the market rate and the Chief Pilot of Chhattisgarh would now get Rs 3.25 lakh per month, which was earlier Rs 2.40 lakh, officials told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
The Senior Pilot would get Rs 2.75 lakh instead of Rs 2 lakh per month and Pilots would get 1.5 lakh instead of Rs 90,000.
Similarly the Flight Engineers would get Rs 1.5 lakh instead of Rs 90,000, Senior Engineers would draw a salary of Rs 1.35 lakh instead of Rs 65,000 and Assistant Engineers would get Rs 75,000 instead of Rs 35,000, they said adding the Technicians would get Rs 16,000 instead of Rs 12,000.
For the decision, the entire staff of the Aviation Department today honoured the Chief Minister in a function here.
When Singh arrived at the Helipad for the function he was handed over roses and after that the Chief Minister cut the cake along with his father and sweets were also distributed in that function to express gratitude to the head of the Government for the decision.
