Raipur, August 8, 2024: Chhattisgarh government has received 137 applications for withdrawal of police cases against them claiming those are cases of pure political in nature.
Under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma the cabinet sub-committee discussed all the applications that was received and brought in before the committee in which Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam and Women and Child Welfare Minister Lakshmi Rajwade as the members.
Among the 137 purely political cases the committee perused the cases of 46 and decided to send its report to the cabinet for approval, official sources said.
As per the decision of the Cabinet next course of action will be decided, the officials said.
The Vishnu Dev Sai government had decided to withdraw political cases registered against BJP workers during the previous Congress government headed by Bhupesh Baghel.
