Raipur, January 5, 2009: Chhattisgarh Speaker Dharamlal Kaushik today said the budget session of the state assembly would start from February 2, next.
The budget session would start from February 2, the Speaker told the state assembly.
The new date was decided in the House Advisory Council meeting held earlier in the day, he said.
The current session of January 5 and 9 was called only to administer oath to the MLAs of the 90-member house and also to elect the new Speaker.
Since it was the first session of the calendar year and also the first session of the third assembly the Governor also addressed the house today and the discussion on the motion to thank the Governor for his address would be taken up on January 9.
