Jagadalpur, March 20, 2025: At least 30 Maoists were killed today in two separate incidents in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.
On intelligence input of gathering of a large number of Maoists, a joint team of security forces raided a jungle area in Gangalur forest in the bordering area of Bijapur and Dantewada district, top police officers said.
In the fierce gun battle 26 Maoists were killed by the security forces in Bijapur district, Bastar Inspector General of police Sundarraj P told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
In that incident one security personnel laid down his life, he said.
Meanwhile, in another gun battle forces have shot dead four Maoists in Kanker district, the top police officer said.
So far police have recovered bodies of 30 Maoists in both the incidents, Sundarraj said.
Huge amount of weapons, explosives and other materials of the Maoists have also been recovered, he added.
