Balrampur, April 02, 2025: Chhattisgarh’s Balrampur district De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center is giving better results and till now about 300 drug addicts are cured from this center and leading a better life.

The Balrampur De-addiction center is operating since August 2022 and the people who are admitted here have to do various activities as per the schedule. Also, they are being provided counselling from time to time, Director of the De-addiction Center Prabhakar said.
Till now about 300 drug addicts have been cured from this centre and are leading a better life, the director said.
Currently nine people are admitted in this 15-bedded de-addiction and rehabilitation center. Apart from counselling, various activities are also being done as per their daily routine, he added.

Secretary Village Industries Department and Secretary-in-charge of Balrampur district Yashwant Kumar also inspected the De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center located at Mission Road of the district headquarters and appreciated the work.
During his visit, District Collector Rajendra Katara and Superintendent of Police Banker Vaibhav Ramanlal were also present.
The Secretary also met the patients in the de-addiction center and personally discussed with all the drug addicts admitted there about the ill effects of drug addiction and said that they must give up drug addiction with the help of their own willpower.
Drug addiction harms the health of a person and along with him the family members also get troubled. Start the change in yourself and inspire others to get rid of drug addiction, he advised.
Along with this, he took stock of all the arrangements in the de-addiction center, bedroom, counseling, yoga and kitchen and even went to the kitchen to check the quality of food.
During the inspection, Sub-Divisional Officer-Revenue Balrampur Anand Ram Netam, Ramanujganj Devendra Pradhan, Deputy Director Panchayat Stella Khalkho were present.
