Raipur, April 01, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the people of Odia community living across the country including the state on Odisha State Foundation Day.

“This day is not only a celebration of the formation of Odisha, but also an inspiration of struggle, self-esteem and cultural unity,” Chief Minister Sai said.
A large number of people of Odia community reside in Chhattisgarh, who strengthen the social harmony and diversity of the state, he said praising their contribution.
Chhattisgarh and Odisha have had cultural and social ties for centuries, Sai said.

He informed that the rice offered to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath still goes from Chhattisgarh. Especially the rice of Deobhog area, which is used as Prasad of the Lord, is a symbol of religious connection of both the states, he added.
On the occasion of ‘Utkal Divas’ in the capital Raipur, Sai garlanded the statue of great freedom fighter Barrister Madhusudan Das and said that due to the struggles of a visionary and dedicated personality like Madhusudan Das, the state of Odisha was formed on April 01, 1936.
