Raipur, April 26, 2025: Vishnu Dev Sai government in Chhattisgarh has implemented another important reform to bring speed and transparency in government functioning.
At least 13 services of major departments of the state have been brought under the Public Service Guarantee Act, so that citizens and businessmen get timely services.

These departments include Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, CECB, Commerce and Industry, Legal Metrology, Town and Country Planning and Water Resources Department.
This step will complete the process of approval and permission within the stipulated time frame, which will promote transparency, efficiency and ease of doing business, official sources said.
Under the new system, it will be mandatory to adhere to the prescribed timelines for these 13 services. If any department fails to provide service on time, the accountability of the concerned officials will be fixed. This system will not only speed up government functioning but will also strengthen the trust in the government among citizens and businessmen, they added.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the goal of his government is that every citizen and businessman in Chhattisgarh should get government services in a fast and transparent manner. The inclusion of 13 important services under the Public Service Guarantee Act is a big step in this direction. This reform will not only ensure accountability, but will also give new impetus to investment and development in the state.
Services that will get the benefit:
This new system includes services like environmental clearance, industrial license, measurement certification, town planning approval and water resources related permissions. Earlier, businessmen and common citizens had to face trouble due to delay in these services. Now with the fixed time limit, it will be ensured that the applications are disposed of as soon as possible.
Common people appreciated this step and said, earlier one had to wait for months for approval, but now with the time limit fixed, business will get momentum. This is a big relief for businessmen also.
This system brought under the Public Service Guarantee Act will promote accountability in government work. This will not only facilitate administrative processes, but Chhattisgarh will also become more attractive for investment. This step will be especially beneficial for small and medium enterprises, which depend on timely services.
This reform of the Chhattisgarh government is another milestone in the direction of digitalization and administrative reforms.
The government plans to bring more services under the purview of this Act in the future, so that development in every sector in the state gets a boost. With this initiative, Chhattisgarh will definitely play a strong role in the creation of a new India.
