Raipur, September 28, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today said that GST reforms have brought about historic changes in the economic sector, directly benefiting the general public.
Participating in the GST 2.0 Reforms “Thank You Modi Ji” programme held at the Medical College Auditorium in Raipur today, the Chief Minister stated that the reduction in GST rates has brought happiness to the lives of 1.4 billion citizens.

Addressing the programme, Sai said that the GST reforms are a historic and bold decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under Modi’s leadership, decisions have been consistently taken that were once considered impossible, whether it be the repeal of Article 370 or the Triple Talaq Bill. In this context, GST reforms are an important step towards providing economic strength to the people, he said.
He personally reached out to the people to gather information about the benefits of the GST rate reduction, Sai said adding recently, when he visited a market to meet people buying daily necessities, housewives told him that these reforms had reduced their kitchen budgets. As they told him about the reduced prices of each item, their faces lit up with smiles, the Chief Minister stated.

Sai explained that these reforms had brought great relief to farmers. When he visited a tractor showroom, he learned that tractor prices had decreased by between 65,000 and 1 lakh rupees.
The Chief Minister said that the state’s businessmen will play a major role in building a developed Chhattisgarh. Investors are highly appreciating Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy. He recently visited Japan and Korea, where investor connect programmes were held. Many investors from the Asian continent have expressed interest in investing in Chhattisgarh. Industrial investment in the state will create a large number of jobs, Sai added.

On this occasion, Sai honoured Chhattisgarh’s Padma Shri awardees and national athletes. These included John Martin Nelson, Dr. Radheshyam Barle, Usha Barle, Dr. Pukhraj Bafna, Phulbasan Bai Yadav, Shamshad Begum, Dr. Bharti Bandhu, Anuj Sharma, Madan Singh Chauhan, Saba Anjum, Ajay Kumar Mandavi, Hemchand Manjhi, Pandi Ram, Jageshwar Yadav, Rajendra Prasad, Rajesh Chauhan, Neeta Dumre.
