Jagdalpur, October 04, 2025: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the Muria Darbar held in Jagdalpur on the occasion of Bastar Dussehra.
After lighting a lamp at the image of Bastar’s revered goddess Maa Danteshwari, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a direct conversation with the Manjhi-Chalaki at Sirhasar Bhavan in Jagdalpur, appealed for cooperation in eliminating Maoism from Bastar.

He urged children who have taken up arms after joining Maoism to return to the mainstream and take advantage of government schemes.
Shah stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to develop Bastar and eliminate Naxalism.
Interacting with the Manjhi-Chalaki, the Union Home Minister assured them that Bastar will be freed from Naxalism by March 2026.

We want the youth of Bastar to serve the entire state of Chhattisgarh by becoming doctors, engineers, deputy collectors, and collectors. It is our responsibility to ensure that youth do not join Naxalism, and that those who have already joined surrender and return to the mainstream, he said.
Shah said that wherever Naxalism has ended, the Chhattisgarh government is rapidly carrying out development work and benefiting people through government schemes.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the Manjhi-Chalaki at Muria Darbar, said that the government is committed to making the Bastar Dussehra festival even more grand.
The amount given for Bastar Dussehra is being increased from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. Additionally, development and construction work is being ensured at the traditional Bastar Dussehra festival sites, such as Jiya Dera and Madia Sarai.

On this occasion, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and other guests were warmly welcomed by the members of Bastar Dussehra Committee, Manjhi-Chalaki, Members and Naik-Paik, by wearing traditional turbans and garlands.
Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma and MP and President of Bastar Dussehra Committee Mahesh Kashyap also addressed the Muria Darbar. On this occasion, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Tribal Welfare Minister Ramvichar Netam, Tourism Minister Rajesh Agrawal, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Kanker MP Bhojraj Nag, State BJP President and Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Dev, Kondagaon MLA Lata Usendi, Chitrakoot MLA Vinayak Goyal, Dantewada MLA Chaitram Atami, Keshkal MLA Neelkanth Tekam, Kanker MLA Asharam Netam, Bastar royal family member Kamalchandra Bhanjdev, Bastar Dussehra Committee Vice President Balram Manjhi, along with traditional members of Bastar Dussehra Committee Manjhi-Chalaki, Member-Memberin and Naik-Paik were present.
