Jagdalpur, October 04, 2025: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended a felicitation feast in Jagdalpur, organised in honour of Manjhi-Chalaki, and members associated with the Bastar Dussehra festival.
Union Home Minister Shah praised the traditional tribal cuisine served at the felicitation feast held at the Lalbag grounds in Jagdalpur, saying that these traditional dishes represent a unique taste of Bastar’s culture, traditions, and tribal values.

Chief Minister Sai said that in Bastar’s tribal tradition, the felicitation dinner with Manjhi-Chalaki and members is not just a gesture of hospitality, but a living symbol of brotherhood, community harmony, and cultural harmony.
He said that this occasion is not only a celebration of Bastar’s rich and vibrant tribal culture, but also an expression of social unity and respect for local traditions.
Deputy Chief Minister-Home Vijay Sharma, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Tourism Minister Rajesh Agrawal, Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap and Kanker MP Bhojraj Nag, BJP State President and Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Singh Deo, and MLAs Vinayak Goyal, Chaitram Atami, Neelkanth Tekam, Asharam Netam and Lata Usendi along with other dignitaries were present at the felicitation dinner.
