Raipur, October 09, 2025: In a serious incident, couple of people today attacked a senior Public Relations official of the Chhattisgarh Government when he was performing his duty at Samvad.
Additional Director of Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department Sanjeev Tiwari was attacked today in his office by three people, sources said.
When Tiwari was in his office clearing files three people entered his chamber in Samvad office and demanded certain informations and subsequently the official was attacked by the group.
“They even tried to strangulate Tiwari,” the sources added.
The group was seems came prepared to carry out the incident as they had been videographing even before entering his chamber and trying to provoke Tiwari also.
An FIR has been launched from the Government side over the incident, sources said.
Journalist, officials and other rank and files of people have strongly condemned the incident and demanded action against the people, who were trying to create an atmosphere of fear in government office and assault on a senior state government official.
Tiwari is known as a gentleman and soft spoken but a sincere and knowledgeable person.
