Raipur, March 17, 2026: Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Public Health and Medical Education Rajendra Shukla today said that the newly launched air service connecting Rewa to Raipur has brought significant relief to the people of the region.
Speaking at an event organized by the ‘Vindhyachal Kalyan Sarv Samaj’ (Vindhyachal Welfare Society), Minister Shukla emphasised that robust road and rail networks are essential for the development of any region.
He noted that air services connecting Rewa to Delhi and Indore have already commenced, a development expected to boost trade and employment opportunities.
Shukla further assured the gathering that positive efforts would be undertaken to expedite the launch of a train service connecting Rewa to Durg.
Speaking on the occasion, Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal remarked that the ties between Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh run very deep.
Jaiswal stated that this air service would serve to bridge not only geographical distances but also the gap between hearts.
State BJP President Kiran Dev Singh described the launch of the Rewa-Raipur air service as a significant initiative that has greatly facilitated travel and connectivity.
Arriving in Raipur this evening for a two-day visit, the Deputy Chief Minister went to the Shri Ram Temple, offering prayers for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.
Subsequently, he attended a felicitation ceremony organized by the ‘Vindhya Samaj’ at the Queens Club.
During the event, Shukla was felicitated by the ‘Vindhyachal Kalyan Sarv Samaj’.
