Raipur, May 16, 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today addressing a public grievance redressal camp organized in Lemru, a remote village in the Korba block, as part of the Sushasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival), stated that his government is formed through the blessings of the people, and serving them constitutes the government’s paramount duty.

Sai remarked that ‘Sushasan Tihar’ symbolizes the government’s direct outreach to the public and its sensitive approach to governance.

The Chief Minister noted that ‘Sushasan Tihar,’ which commenced on May 1st, will continue until June 10th; through this initiative, the grievances of common citizens across the state are being resolved with promptness.

He explained that just as the head of a family looks after the joys, sorrows, and needs of their household, the government, imbued with the same spirit, is reaching every village to review the implementation of various schemes and to listen to the people’s concerns.

He further shared that he himself has been making surprise visits to villages, holding informal public gatherings (Chaupals) under the shade of trees to engage directly with the common people.

Sai highlighted that numerous public welfare schemes are currently being implemented across the state for the benefit of women, farmers, labourers, forest dwellers, and impoverished families.

Under the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana,’ financial assistance is being provided monthly to 70 lakh women. Furthermore, approval has been granted for the construction of 18 lakh houses under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ (Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme) within the state, a significant number of which have already been completed, he said.

The Chief Minister added that the procurement rate for Tendu leaves has been increased to Rs 5,500 per standard bag, and paddy is being procured from farmers at record-high prices.

Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan stated that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, the government has fulfilled most of the promises made under “Modi’s Guarantee” within a short span of time. Relief is being extended to the poor, farmers, and the needy by ensuring that the benefits of various schemes reach every single village.

He noted that, through ‘Sushasan Tihar,’ the Chief Minister himself is reaching out to the remote corners of the state to engage in direct dialogue with the public.

Finance Minister O P Choudhary remarked that, despite the scorching summer heat, Chief Minister Sai continues to tour the remote regions of the state without interruption. Through the ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival), a new chapter of development, spanning from Sarguja to Bastar, is being written, marked by the swift resolution of public grievances.

He remarked that the large turnout of people gathering to listen to and meet the Chief Minister serves as a symbol of the public’s trust and deep emotional connection with him.

During the camp, Chief Minister Sai announced numerous development projects for the Lemru region. He announced the construction of an anicut for irrigation, the establishment of a post-matric hostel, and the electrification of various Gram Panchayats, as well as the construction of school buildings, Anganwadi centers, CC roads, and culverts.

The Chief Minister honoured 18 meritorious students from Korba district, who had secured over 90 per cent marks in the Class 12 Board examinations, by presenting them with tablets and extending his best wishes for their bright future.

At the camp, the Chief Minister distributed ration cards, agricultural tools, tricycles, hearing aids, fisheries equipment, pumps, power sprayers, and ‘Suposhan Tokris’ (nutrition baskets) to beneficiaries of various departmental schemes; he also distributed incentive cheques to Self-Help Groups.

Sai also met with beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana (PM Housing Scheme) to gather feedback regarding the implementation of the scheme.

Present on this occasion were Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh; Special Secretary Rajat Bansal; along with other public representatives and government officials.
