Raipur, June 6, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today said that farmers should not face any difficulties regarding the availability of fertilizers and seeds. Fertilizers and seeds must be provided to small and marginal farmers on a priority basis, and the concerned District Collectors will be held accountable for this.
The Chief Minister instructed agriculture officials to visit villages and inform farmers about the benefits of Nano Urea and Nano DAP to ensure maximum utilization of modern agricultural techniques.
Addressing a divisional review meeting for the districts of the Raipur division at the Gariaband District Panchayat office today, he directed officials to take immediate and effective action against illegal sand mining.

During this marathon review meeting, which lasted approximately three and a half hours, a detailed review of development schemes, law and order, public welfare programmes, and administrative arrangements was conducted with the Collectors, Superintendents of Police, and senior officials from Raipur, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, and Balodabazar districts.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister took a significant decision to provide a permanent solution to the drinking water problem in the Supebeda area of Gariaband district by approving Rs 7 crore for the construction of an anicut on the Tel River. He stated that fulfilling the basic needs of the people is the government’s top priority and that permanent solutions to issues like drinking water scarcity must be ensured.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the benefits of government-run public welfare schemes must reach the last person in the queue. He gave clear instructions to officials that ordinary citizens should face no difficulties in availing the benefits of these schemes and that they should work with sensitivity and accountability to minimize public grievances against the administration.
Sai issued directives regarding the speedy resolution of revenue cases, accelerating the ‘Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana’ (Free Electricity Scheme), creating TB-free panchayats, ensuring 100 per cent coverage of Ayushman cards, completing ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ works within the stipulated timeframe, and extending benefits to eligible beneficiaries of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’.
He stated that ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival) is not merely a campaign for grievance redressal but a medium to understand the ground reality of government schemes and establish direct dialogue with the public. With this objective, he is personally visiting various districts to gather feedback on the implementation of these schemes.
During the review meeting, the progress of several schemes and initiatives was examined in detail, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Bihan, tendu leaf collection, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, social security pensions, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, and paddy procurement and lifting operations.
The Chief Minister remarked that merely issuing Ayushman cards is not enough; eligible citizens must also be provided with quality medical treatment and superior healthcare facilities.
While reviewing the education sector, the Chief Minister emphasized improving learning levels in schools, ensuring regular monitoring, and promoting innovation-based teaching methods. He directed that in schools facing a shortage of subject-expert teachers, the quality of education should be enhanced through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technologies.
Sai also reviewed the law and order situation, road safety, and the effective implementation of the three new criminal laws introduced in the country. He instructed officials to organize training programmes for the effective implementation of the new laws, launch extensive public awareness campaigns, and vigorously pursue road safety compliance and de-addiction drives.
The meeting was attended by Rajim MLA Rohit Sahu, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajat Bansal, Raipur Divisional Commissioner Shyam Dhawde, and IG Amresh Mishra, along with public representatives and senior officials from the concerned districts.
