Raipur, June 9, 2026: Taking an important decision in the cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, it has approved the new form of Krishak Unnati Yojana from Kharif-2026. Under which it has been decided to provide input assistance of Rs 15,000 per acre to the farmers who grow other Kharif crops in place of paddy.
Today in the Cabinet meeting, the new form of Krishak Unnati Yojana has been approved from Kharif-2026.
With the aim of promoting crop diversification, increasing the income of farmers and reducing excessive dependence on paddy, the state government has decided to provide input assistance of Rs 15,000 per acre to the farmers taking other Kharif crops in place of paddy and to the farmers cultivating pulses, oilseeds, maize, kodo, kutki, ragi and cotton, officials said.

The benefits of this scheme will be given on the basis of Integrated Farmer Portal, Agristack Registration and Digital Crop Survey.
With this decision, the area of pulses, oilseeds and other alternative crops will increase in the state, farmers will get better income and it will also promote long-term stability and water conservation in the agricultural sector.
Along with this, the Cabinet has decided to extend the period of stamp duty exemption being provided on land purchase to Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Authority with mutual consent till March 31, 2028.
This decision will give speed to the authority in the process of land acquisition and will further strengthen the planned development and expansion of infrastructure of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
In the meeting, amendments in Chhattisgarh Mineral (Mining, Transportation and Storage) Rules, 2009 were approved.
Under this amendment, RFID tag and vehicle tracking system will be made mandatory in vehicles transporting minerals and modern technology based system will be implemented for grade determination and quantity estimation of minerals.
The amount of storage fee and security deposit to be collected from storage license holders was increased. Apart from this, provisions related to sanctioning additional land to the license holder and amalgamation of two storage licenses under Ease of Doing Business were implemented.
This decision will establish effective control on illegal mining, transportation and storage, increase transparency and ensure increase in the state’s revenue.
